For the time being, find out what command and user owns the audio card. No registered users and 0 guests. I get playback from the monitors, no problems there. For 30 bucks this usb card sounds amazing. I tried to create a file using the code posted above, with no success.

I am running Arch Linux. For the time being, find out what command and user owns the audio card.

I read some people were using this with some success, but I can only get it to playback and not capture from my mixer or guitar connected to the inputs. uuca222 I suggest you use a music-oriented distribution. The card does not have any capture devices if anyone runs into this in the future. I also created a new project in Ardour right before I got the uca, and now when I try to open that session, it gives me a warning: I had to come off the line ouput on my console, not the tape outs.

Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: I have an old tascam mixer I am running it through and out of the tape outs or the line outs into the uca, and I also tried going directly in to the card with no luck. I don't see anything else showing up in alsamixer besides "PCM". However, now I am trying to get my guitar and uda222 through, and I am having uda222. I have an a Behringer uca, and I'd like to record some guitar stuff through audacity, but I cannot.
